We are looking for a dynamic, innovative Registered Nurse with considerable experience in nursing patients with heart disease, who has the vision and commitment needed to work with the existing heart failure team to run and develop our heart failure service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. You will have responsibility for managing the service delivery to patients in conjunction with the Consultant Cardiologists, Heart Failure Nurse Specialists, and Consultant Nurse for Cardiology and will work very closely with GPs, community heart failure nurses, community matrons and district nurses.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work creatively both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We would ideally expect you to be a current Band 7 or have worked for a minimum of 2 years as a Band 6 in nursing patients with heart disease.
You should have a relevant cardiac post-registration qualification, ideally at Degree or Masters Level. Caledonian Heart Failure Course is desirable.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
