The opportunity has arisen to join our children’s emergency team here at Lewisham hospital. Recently reviewed by CQC and award good in all areas.
The unit comprises of a dedicated 24hrs children’s emergency department. , A 4 bedded PSSU is also attached to this department. It is led by 3 emergency paediatric consultants, 2 sisters and a modern matron. which includes a separate area for young people.
The Children’s Emergency Department is open 24 hrs a day and sees on average 90 - 100 children a day. The department is dynamic and progressive. It has 3 dedicated Children’s Emergency Consultants.
Opportunity now exists for newly qualified or experienced band 5 children’s trained nurses who would like a challenge, respond well to the demands of a busy department and enjoy working at a fast pace in an environment that is supportive.
The department encourages and supports professional development in the form of Children’s Emergency module and learning in a dedicated Sims centre. In addition a PDN is also available to facilitate learning.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
