Band 5 staff Nurse RN Cardio-Respiratory rotation.(Initial 1 year rotation, then placement within the unit).

These Band 5 posts are based in the acute respiratory & cardiac units here at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital come along on 18th of May 2018 from 8.45am - 2.00pm for interviews and assessments at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich.

We have a well-established Acute Cardiac Unit and are very proud of what we offer.

• Single sex CCU with state of the arts monitoring facilities
• Telemetry
• 16 bed step down area
• Cardiology here at QEW offers all acute services including interventional cardiology/PCI and complex pacing

We have recently established a dedicated acute respiratory unit which specializes in all aspects of acute care including

• NIV
• Tracheostomy
• Chest drains

Both teams are welcoming & supportive with a genuine patient centered focus. We want you to help us develop and maintain the highest standards of care.

It’s a chance to develop your specialist acute skills within a working and training environment that encourages all staff to perform to their best. You will be supported in all areas of professional development .This includes access to the practice development team, specialist nurses both inside the hospital and community based care.

It is anticipated that at the end of the year you will have the opportunity to continue to specialize in one of the areas. This will supported by further formal professional education.

This rotational post offers the opportunity to nurse both acutely ill respiratory & cardiac patients. It will offer you a sound foundation on which to base your clinical practice in acute care:

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
