Band 6 Senior School staff nurse- Children’s Safeguarding Nurse
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic band 5 pursuing a career in safeguarding within the School Health Service as a Children’s Safeguarding Nurse (band 6) to work within our friendly and dynamic Safeguarding Team. The role involves working closely with children, young people and their families to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities in the culturally diverse school aged population of Lewisham. The candidate will be experienced in managing a safeguarding caseload and be passionate about working with school aged children and vulnerable young people. This opportunity offers career progression with potential offer further training in the field.
You will need to have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team. You need to have excellent communication skills and experience of working in partnership across organizational boundaries. You need to be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery.
The team is friendly and supportive and can offer the successful candidate a comprehensive induction/training programme and on-going clinical/child protection supervision and support.
