Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust require a full time CESR training Clinical Fellow in Dermatology, to join the Dermatology team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) site for 12-months, renewable. This is expected to be an educationally recognised, CESR route training post.

The doctor will work closely with the 2 trust doctors and 8 existing Consultants within the QEH Dermatology department.

The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust was created in 2013 from a merger of the Queen Elizabeth (QE) Hospital with University Hospital Lewisham, as part of a reconfiguration of services in South East London recommended by the Health Secretary.

The hospitals cover the London Boroughs of Lewisham, Greenwich and parts of Bexley, with a combined population of more than 500,000 people.

At QEH there are 8 consultants and 2 trust doctors. The department is based in outpatients. There are 2 theatre suites as well as a phototherapy unit. The post will cover skin cancer, general dermatology, paediatrics and biologic clinics. There is also a surgical list and ward referral cover within the job plan. 

All candidates should have their MRCP membership (Membership of Royal College of Physicians) or equivalent.

The trust is located in Greenwich with adequate local transport links. Buses stop by the hospital and are the links to Central London via Jubilee train (North Greenwich Tube Station) as well National Rail (Blackheath Station, Woolwich Arsenal, Charlton). There is a wide range of residential areas with excellent local amenities and schools.

The post will be paid on the MN37 Specialty Registrar pay scale according to previous experience plus London Weighting.  Please refer to the job description for further details.
