Our people value the opportunity to work in a supportive culture and, we ensure our team are well rewarded for their contribution. By joining us now, you can play a role in shaping  our organisation that continues to put patient and client care first. Whatever the challenges ahead, we’re prepared to face them as one team.

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust requires a dynamic and forward thinking Consultant to join the Dermatology team predominantly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich (QEH) site. The Consultant will work closely with the 6 existing substantive Consultants within the Dermatology services at the QEH site. The vacancy is for a full time Consultant, but applications from those wishing to work less than full time are welcome.

At QEH, including this vacancy there are 7 substantive consultants, a CESR Fellow, 3 Trust Doctors, a GP StR and an F1, well supported by Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialists and secretaries.

The department is modern and well equipped, with a dedicated outpatient theatre suite, as well as phototherapy. The department is supported by a visiting Plastic Surgeon from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, who also carries out complex surgery requiring general anaesthetic in main theatres.  The unit is actively involved with undergraduate education with medical students from King’s College London throughout the year.

All candidates should be on the Specialist Register with the GMC or be within 6 months of obtaining their CCT.

The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust was created in 2013 from a merger of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with University Hospital Lewisham, as part of a reconfiguration of services in South East London recommended by the Health Secretary. The hospitals cover the London Boroughs of Lewisham, Greenwich and parts of Bexley, with a combined population of more than 500,000 people.

The trust is located in a pleasant part of South East London, with easy access to central London and the Kent countryside. There is a wide range of residential areas with excellent local amenities and schools.
