Our ED is a vibrant, challenging but rewarding environment in which to develop a career in ED Nursing. We are committed to the development of our staff and have a full time Practice Development Facilitator in post for this purpose.

The department, incorporating a fully integrated Urgent Care Centre (UCC) is modern and bright, offering state of the art facilities.

We see in excess of 120,000 patients per year presenting with a varied and diverse mix of clinical needs and presentations. As well as the UCC clinical areas include Triage, Major Treatment area, Resuscitation and our Clinical Decision Unit (CDU).

CDU is an 11 bedded ward environment for short stay admissions and for patients requiring short term monitoring and treatments.


Criteria for application are as follows:


Band 5 nurses should have at least 9 months post registration experience

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
